I hate to give less than good reviews, but I have to be honest. We went to Federal Donuts & Chicken to give it a try. I read the reviews, but wanted to see for myself. The guy at the counter that took our order was very nice and helpful. My husband ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich combo w/Za'atar fries and I got the Chicken Tenders. We also got a Carrot Cake donut and a Gold on Ice donut (choc donut w/marshmallow icing and gold sprinkles. For $41 it was sad to wish you were eating Chick-fil-A instead.
The chicken in the sandwich and the chicken tenders were nice big pieces of chicken, but it lacked flavor in the breading and the chicken. I had Coffee BBQ sauce and Everything Rooster sauce. I dipped my tenders in before every bite to add flavor. I usually eat the previously mentioned restaurant's chicken tenders plain or maybe I'll dip every few bites, not EVERY bite. My hubby said his chicken was barely seasoned. He used my sauces to amp it up a bit. My Gold on Ice donut was a little dry, not bad, but I could not get over the old oil taste in my donut. I could not finish it. It was not worth my caloric intake. The Carrot Cake donut was moist and did NOT have the old oil taste like the Gold on Ice. However, my husband could not taste carrot cake at all. It was very bland in flavor. The upside is that they give free drink refills. This is a walk up counter and you take your meal to eat at food court or to-go.

We came in for a late night dinner. The dining room was already closed so we sat in the gaming area. The staff was super friendly. We were greeted by 3 different people as we were figuring out where we wanted to sit. James was our server. What a great guy! He was very personable, made sure our drinks were filled as we waited for our food. He gave us recommendations for the steak and eggs and the fish & chips (which is funny because we already decided to have those two items). We are regulars at the Village Pub on S. Rainbow. We were a little conflicted on whether to try Yorkie's since we love the Village Pub I mentioned. It was very late and we wanted to stay closer to home so we went ahead and gave Yorkie's a try. So glad we did! They are just as friendly and the food is just as good as the VPub on S. Rainbow. While we LOVE VPub we love how close Yorky's is to us. We'll be frequenting both. Both are great places that I highly recommend if you want good, solid pub food in a clean, friendly, comfortable environment. The fish and chips is the original reason we started coming here. I'm picky about my Fish & Chips and I'm happy to say Yorkie's does it right!!

Still 5 stars! It's been a few months since my last visit and I am happy to say Saigon House still has great service and great food. I changed gears and decided to try the beef banh mi and it was soooo delicious! Side note, I stopped ordering Beef Bahn Mi for a long time because I have been less than thrilled at what I've gotten. The bahn mi here is so good! The beef has so much flavor and the pickled veges were not overpowering (although LOVE strongly picked veges). And the bread...crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside. Perfect! I barely used the dipping sauce that came with it because the sandwich was already so flavor-packed. I'm so glad I took a chance. My faith in beef bahn mi has been restored! My hubby wanted his Spicy Beef Bone Noodle Soup. He was a happy camper as usual with his choice! Love this place!

I finally made it here. I've always wanted to try it since it opened. I used to frequent the old business that was here and was sorry to see them close. BUT...Leafs and Grounds is wonderful!!! It's got a really relaxed, chill ambiance with awesome music (mellow indie/alternative) that is not blaring through the speakers. I can see myself stopping by after work to do some catch up with a delicious beverage. The hubs and I stopped by since we had the odd day off together. What a great place to start the day. We got a scone and breakfast empanada. We saw some lukewarm reviews on the empanadas but decided to try it anyway. It was good!! Nice golden brown flaky pastry filled with sausage, eggs and potatoes. What's not to like? The other choice was bacon. I tried a lemon blueberry scone that had a proper crumble texture and was filled with whole blueberries and a bright lemon flavor. I would get that again! The drinks were very tasty as well. My hubs loves London Fogs and he enjoyed this one. You could taste the Earl Grey and there was a light vanilla sweetness to it. I decided to try the strawberry matcha from their Spring cafe menu. I would get this again as well. The bottom of the glass was filled with real strawberry purée and the top was matcha with oatmilk. The matcha is on point. It's a little grassy, but not bitter at all (the way I prefer it instead of presweetened weak matcha like some other coffee places serve).
To sum it up...total win!! This is definitely going to be a frequent stop for me after work!! If you like a chill cafe vibe with excellent, friendly staff and delicious food and pastries check out Leafs and Grounds!
