As Yelp events go, what's not to like? Pick up a free $29. pizza! Awesome.

However, in a raw comparison with other $32. pizzas I would not necessarily choose one from Pizza Guys. Got the stuffed crust ($3 extra) one with three toppings, black olives, mushrooms and jalapeños.

On the plus side the toppings were plentiful. The crust and over all texture of the pizza though was average. Good! but not exceptional. A bit lacking in crispness.

Service was fast, very friendly. Liked getting the text to let me know it's ready.

One general suggestion is that at these Yelp Elite events if the food ordered by the Yelper is within reason close to the promotion, within a dollar or two, just give it to him. The idea is to allow the reviewer to try something he likes to give the place an honest assessment. If that can't be done within the confines of the promotion, the review itself suffers. Do food critics limit their choices when a magazine is paying for their dining experiences?

I think Pizza Guys will do well and that they seemed to be busy, located around a lot of pizza joints including within eyesight of Papa John's, I'd say bodes well for this establishment. What will they do to compete with Papa John coupons though?

Great food large portions very attentive service.

We went here on Mother's Day weekend when even with a black card the wait was too long for a very large group of us.

Pattie's got our party of 12 seated pretty quickly and we enjoyed a variety of their dishes including steaks, prime rib, salmon, blackened tuna, fish and chips, pizzas and a range of appetizers such as cauliflower, shrimp ceviche , and salads.

It might be nice to have a scale somewhere in the customer area for customers to check the weight on their yoghurt along the way.

Made it before the cold weather storm came in, barely!

Lines were too long though, both to get in and at the food service stations.

Night time lighting could have been better. Or start the event earlier in the day.

Nice event, nicely run, did have some food service issues, but otherwise, liked it!
