We have been living at Crescent Village for over 6 years now. We first moved in when there was not many residents occupying the units. We usually do a 12-18 month lease so rent does not go up that much. Here's my review over time.

Elevators - 1 star
The elevators in the Mirada building are always down. It's probably been down 5-6 times in a year. Sometimes when they do alarm testing the alarm sets off all through the night. So if you have babies or dogs it can be a pain to hear the alarms all through the night and day. That is probably one of the worst experiences throughout living here.

Staff - 4 stars
Resident offices - The staff have been great and friendly over the years. Staff changes from time to time but they are always quick to respond.

Maintenance - 5 stars
I usually call the morning if there is a problem with anything in the apartment and they usually fix it before 5 pm. Continuous problems: Clogged bathtub (there's no drain catcher so hair always gets caught). Blinds are usually gets broken and need to be replaced. Recently we have been having ant problems. There's a huge trail of ants coming from the walls of the patio and washing machine. We got ant traps but it's still a problem.

Box stop - 5 stars
The ladies at the box stop office are always friendly. It is nice to have our packages arrive there safely and I can pick it up after I come home from work.

Quality of the units - 3 stars
It depends which unit that you are in but of course I feel like the the built of the quality outlets and finishes were sloppy and a lot of things were slapped on.

Noise level - 3 stars
The higher floor that you are on is less noisy. We have a pool facing view and have to close the window because of the noise level.

Neighbors - 2 stars
Lately we have been have neighbors that leave trash in the hall ways and shoes at everywhere. It's really a problem. I have to call and complain sometimes. They leave vacuum cleaners, grocery trash bags, bikes strollers all in the hall ways. The hall ways always smells like curry even if it's open air. The hall way ground use to get cleaned a lot but lately there's dog poo stains on the ground and it's not being kept up. If we leave Irvine soon it would be mainly because of the neighbors.

Parking garage - 3 stars
In the last year or so they have parking slots for retail/visitors only for 2 hours. If you have a second car you have to either pay an extra spot, park on the street or find a spot before the gate. What is annoying is some people park illegally at the postal and handicap spots.

Dog park - 4 stars
The dog park is ok. There's a lot of dogs there some are aggressive, just depends what your dog's personality is like. There are usually poo bags there but some folks never clean up after their dogs.

Alarm testing - 1 star
From time to time the alarm goes off and it's really loud, especially in the middle of the night.
