We were in town from the NYC/NJ area on a business trip and stopped in for a quick dinner before our flight home. I had heard this is the place to go if you want the best steakhouse in Portland but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype.
I ordered my $84 12 oz Filet Mignon Medium Well and it came out Rare. For $84 you should know how to cook a steak especially if you're supposed to be the best steakhouse in Portland. It took 10-15 minutes to come back and by then my business associate was done eating his also undercooked Filet which he didn't send back.
The service was good as was the complimentary cheese/garlic bread.
I found the restaurant so dark it was hard to even walk to the bathroom and it's very outdated. I get the old school vibe thing but it needs some work.
I would never come back as I can't see paying higher than New York City prices for Portland Food. I'm still trying to understand how they come up with their prices. I get the inflation thing but we left feeling Gauged!
PS. An Automatic 20% gratuity added for a table of 2. I guess they attract a clientele that doesn't know how to tip. UGH!!!!

We've been waiting to try Prominence for many months during the construction and it certainly did not disappoint after our recent dinner.

Food: A+
Large delicious portions of excellent Steaks, Veal, Chicken, Pastas, Fresh Fish and so many other dishes and daily specials like Soft Shell Crabs and crab claws. The Veal Chop Parmesan and Filet Mignon were our favorites.

Ambiance: A+
We ate at the huge square bar that's seats 28 people comfortably with 4 massive 63" TV's on each side to watch sports. There was also a live Piano/guitar player that had the whole bar crowd singing and dancing. The bar area also has a huge wood burning fire place which will be great for next Fall/Winter.
The dining rooms also looked well appointed with nice industrial hanging lights and additional fire places in some of the dining rooms. I also noticed a huge outdoor patio off the bar which will be used for outdoor dining and a fire pit once the weather warms up.

Service: A+
The restaurant was packed on a busy Saturday night and the 2 Lindsay's behind the bar were amazing bar tenders. They are true professionals at their craft. The owners also frequently checked on us and take a lot of pride in their new restaurant. You can tell they put a lot of attention into every detail of the restaurant design which is gorgeous and fits in well with the Windham NY area vibe.

We will certainly be back many times to enjoy this spectacular new addition to the Windham dining and bar scene!!

The restaurant is beautiful and the food and drinks are very creative! I love that they have live music and the piano player was amazing the night we were there.
My only complaint is the size of the drinks. As other reviewers have noted they have very small pours and the martini glasses are tiny. At $18+ for drinks they need to be bigger. They can be around for a long time if they improve their pour size otherwise there are better options in the area.

The restaurant is excellent! All our food was perfect and the service was good. The new decor is very beautiful.
My only complaint and why I didn't give 5 stars is because the music was played excessively loud and made it hard to hear people at my table. The music selection was also inappropriate for this type restaurant.
I will definitely be back.
